PrintPod
The fast and efficient way for visitors to collect their badge

PrintPods are unmanned badge printing stations. They are the fast and efficient way for visitors to scan a barcode and print their event badge. The PrintPod is a freestanding, self-service fast track entry station. They need mains power and WiFi. The screens and units can be branded to suit the event.

Badge Collection – the PrintPod allows the visitor to present a barcode and produce an event badge. When their event badge is printed it also marks them as attended on that day.

In May 2023, the RefTech team was onsite for Media360, an event that used our PrintPods to provide a seamless and smooth badge collection and event entry experience for all. The PrintPods also provide live attendance figures to the show organisers.

ScanPod
The self-service entry and verification scanning pod

ScanPods are self-service, freestanding, battery-powered and WiFi enabled entry and verification scanning pods. The award-winning ScanPod has advanced in-built technology and real-time data for sophisticated and useful reporting.

ScanPods provide an all-in-one solution for event entry and verification scanning including:

  • Entry scanning – allows the visitor to present a barcode to scan on entry to the event. Enables the organiser to obtain attendance reports.
  • Session/Seminar scanning
    • Attendance – record attendance at sessions, visitors scan their badge before entering the session room.
    • Capacity control – for capacity-controlled sessions see at a glance if the person is authorised to enter the room. If the attendee hasn't booked and there is capacity, you can allow entry. If the attendee hasn't booked and there isn't capacity, you can refuse entry.
  • Verification scanning – verify the status of the visitor for a lunch entry, VIP bag, session entry and more.
  • Access control – confirm visitor status for entry on a specific date or for access to specific area.

Power and WiFi

The PrintPod and ScanPod have been designed to work with the venue WiFi. We do however suggest that a standalone 5Ghz WiFi network is used to maximise uptime.

The PrintPod requires mains power and the ScanPod is battery operated for maximum flexibility for entry management.
